TronSave Swap: Best-Rate TRX and TRC-20 Trades via SunSwap (2026)

By Tronsave August 14, 2026 5 Views

TronSave Swap is a non-custodial trading tool at tronsave.io/tools/swap that routes TRX and TRC-20 trades through the SunSwap Smart Router for the best on-chain rate — and simulates every swap before broadcasting it, so a trade that would fail is blocked instead of sent. This guide explains how it works, what it costs, and how to make your first swap.

Table of Contents

What is TronSave Swap?

It’s a front end over SunSwap, TRON’s largest decentralized exchange. You connect your own wallet (TronLink, OKX, WalletConnect, Ledger), pick what you pay and what you receive, and the Smart Router quotes the path across SunSwap’s v2 and v3 pools that produces the highest output for your amount. TronSave never holds your funds at any point — approvals and signatures all happen in your wallet, and the trade executes directly on-chain.

Swaps are available on Mainnet (and the Nile testnet for developers). The mainnet token list covers the pairs most people actually trade:

Token Name Type
TRX TRON Native — no approval needed
USDT Tether USD TRC-20 stablecoin
USDC USD Coin TRC-20 stablecoin
USDD Decentralized USD TRC-20 stablecoin
TUSD TrueUSD TRC-20 stablecoin
SUN SUN TRC-20
JST JUST TRC-20
WTRX Wrapped TRX TRC-20

What makes it safer than a raw DEX swap?

  • Every swap is simulated first. Before broadcasting, the tool runs the exact transaction against the chain. If the simulation reverts — bad route, moved price, encoding issue — the swap is blocked and never sent, and you’re told why. A failed simulation costs you nothing.
  • No double-broadcasts. Once a swap transaction has an ID, it is never re-broadcast — a rule that prevents the classic “clicked twice, swapped twice” accident.
  • Capped fee limits. Approval transactions carry a fixed, small fee limit, and the swap’s own limit is sized from the simulated energy with 30% headroom — so a surprise on-chain condition can’t drain the wallet through fees.
  • A slippage floor you control. Your minimum received is enforced on-chain; if the pool moves past your tolerance mid-flight, the trade reverts rather than filling badly.

How do you swap? (step by step)

  1. Open tronsave.io/tools/swap and connect your wallet.
  2. Pick your tokens — what you pay and what you receive — and type an amount. The best SunSwap route is quoted automatically as you type.
  3. Set slippage: 0.5%, 1% (the default), or 2%. Changing it re-floors your minimum received instantly — no re-quote, no waiting.
  4. Approve once, if needed. Selling a TRC-20 token for the first time takes a one-time approval pair (a TRC-20 approve plus a Permit2 authorization, valid for a year). Selling TRX needs no approval at all.
  5. Check the energy line. The tool simulates the swap to estimate the energy it will burn. If your wallet is short, you can top up the difference from TronSave inline before swapping — the same rent-don’t-burn economics as any transfer (see our note on what a TRON swap costs in energy).
  6. Swap. Sign the transaction; it carries a 20-minute deadline, after which an unexecuted trade simply expires. Verify the result on TronScan.

Which slippage should you pick?

Preset Best for
0.5% Stablecoin pairs (USDT ↔ USDC) and calm markets — tightest protection
1% The default; most TRX ↔ stablecoin trades
2% Volatile moments or thinner pools, when fills matter more than the last 1%

Lower is safer but reverts more often in fast markets; higher fills more reliably but tolerates a worse price. Because TronSave Swap re-floors instantly when you change the preset, it costs nothing to tighten it and see.

What does a swap actually cost?

Beyond the pool’s own trading fee (set by SunSwap, reflected in the quoted rate), the on-chain cost is energy, and it’s estimated by the pre-broadcast simulation rather than guessed. If you hold staked TRX, the burn may be covered by your existing resources; if not, the inline top-up buys exactly the shortfall from the energy market — usually far cheaper than letting the transaction burn TRX at protocol rates. New to that trade-off? Our beginner guide to swapping TRON to USDT covers the basics.

Where does Swap fit in the TronSave toolkit?

Swap rounds out a set of tools that share the same energy market underneath. A common workflow: swap TRX into USDT at the best route, rent a few minutes of energy, then distribute the USDT to a whole recipient list with SaveSender bulk send — three steps, each one topping up energy inline only when it’s actually short. Because the tools quote and buy from the same market, you never pre-stock resources or guess at fees; each step prices exactly what it needs, when it needs it.

FAQ

Is TronSave Swap custodial?
No. Tokens move from your wallet through SunSwap’s on-chain router to your wallet. TronSave never holds or controls your funds.

Why was my swap blocked before sending?
The pre-broadcast simulation showed it would revert — commonly a price moved past your slippage floor. Blocking it saved the fee a failed transaction would have burned; re-quote and try again.

Do I need an approval to sell TRX?
No. Approvals only apply the first time you sell a given TRC-20 token — one TRC-20 approve plus a Permit2 authorization, then you’re set for future swaps of that token.

Which networks are supported?
TRON Mainnet, plus the Nile testnet for development. Other networks show an unsupported notice.

What happens if I run out of energy mid-swap?
You won’t start short: the tool compares the simulated energy against your wallet before broadcasting and offers an inline top-up from TronSave for any shortfall.

How current is the quoted rate?
Quotes refresh automatically as you edit the amount, and every broadcast is protected by your minimum-received floor and a 20-minute deadline regardless.

Ready to trade? Open TronSave Swap — best-route quotes from SunSwap, simulated before broadcast, with your wallet in control the whole way.

TronSave Swap is a tool operated by TronSave, the publisher of this blog; trades execute on SunSwap’s on-chain contracts. Token prices are volatile and on-chain trades are irreversible once confirmed. This is not financial advice.
