TronSave Order Types Explained: Normal, Pending, Smart, ZapBuy & Auto-Buy (2026)

By Tronsave July 12, 2026 32 Views

TronSave gives you several ways to buy TRON Energy, and picking the right order type is the difference between paying more and paying less — or waiting versus getting energy instantly. Here’s a plain-English guide to every TronSave order type and when to use each.

Table of Contents

Normal Order

The standard purchase: you set the amount, duration and price, and the order matches against available market supply immediately. Best for everyday, on-demand buying when you want energy right now at the going rate.

Click the Price field on the market page and the order book opens, showing how much energy is available at each price level. That is the number that actually decides your fill — if the cheapest two levels don’t hold enough for your order, the third one sets your price. Behind the settings icon are three options worth knowing:

  • Minimum delegate — only match with providers who can delegate at least this much in one go.
  • Allow partial fill — off means the order won’t fill unless a single address can complete it in one transaction.
  • Immediate buy — the order must fill straight away; if the system can’t match it, the order is never created.

A placed order isn’t frozen: the price is editable from the order detail screen, and so is the target address once the order is at least an hour old and not yet fully matched. Step-by-step screenshots are in our guide to buying energy on the TronSave website.

Pending Order

You place the order at your chosen price and it waits until the market can match it. Best when you want a specific (often lower) price and you’re not in a hurry.

It is also the route that needs no wallet connection at all. Fill in the resource, receiver address, amount and duration — anything from 15 minutes to 30 days — then choose the direct TRX transfer option. The system returns a one-time payment address, the exact TRX amount, and a countdown of roughly 3 minutes. Send the exact amount from any wallet inside that window and the order is verified and fulfilled automatically. Round the figure and it won’t be accepted.

Smart Order

Built for large rentals the market can’t fill in one go. After the first match, TronSave keeps monitoring the providers who partially filled your order and auto-matches more energy as they regain capacity, then refunds any unused duration in TRX.

  • Minimum 10,000,000 Energy, minimum duration 3 days.
  • Active during the first one-third of the matched duration.
  • Only re-matches from providers already on your order, and only once they regain at least 100,000 Energy.
  • Improves fill rate over time (doesn’t guarantee 100%). Ideal for big dApps and heavy operations.

Example: you order 10,000,000 Energy for 3 days and only 9,000,000 matches. A day later a provider on your order frees up 1,000,000 Energy — the system matches it for the remaining 2 days and refunds the unused day on that portion. Refunds are itemised under the order’s Refund tab.

ZapBuy

The fastest path: send TRX directly to the TronSave bot address and a 1-hour energy rental is created automatically for your wallet — no dashboard needed. Minimum 65,000 Energy, and it only fills if it can be matched immediately. See the full ZapBuy guide.

The mechanics are unforgiving. The recipient is TronSave’s bot address TLx8h8fjv5pyuxCu292ZgjbU14XZSiLGg4, the energy goes to whichever wallet sent the TRX, and the duration is fixed at one hour. Size the transfer with the ZapBuy calculator — you aren’t restricted to fixed increments. Two failure modes: an amount that works out to under 65,000 Energy is ignored entirely and no order is created, and TRX sent from a smart contract or an exchange account won’t work. Send from a regular wallet.

Auto-Buy

Set rules once and TronSave automatically tops up a watched address so it never runs out of energy — perfect for regular senders. Read the Auto-Buy guide.

A rule has four parts: the buy settings applied on every trigger (target address, amount, duration, price tier), a resource buy threshold that fires a new order when the address drops below it, a duration limit for when the rule is active, and a budget limit — none, a total TRX cap, or a maximum number of orders. Auto-Buy spends from your internal account, not your connected wallet, so it also stops and flags the rule inactive when that balance runs out. The History view logs every triggered order with its amount, duration, price and TRX spent.

Fast Charge

A quick, API-friendly order flow for developers who want to create, estimate, confirm and track energy orders programmatically. Pair it with the API automation guide.

Which order type should you use?

Type Speed Price behaviour When it fills Best for
Normal Immediate Market rate at the tier you pick On creation, against current supply Everyday buying
Pending Waits for your price You set the price Once the market matches it, or once your TRX payment is verified Price-sensitive buyers and anyone without a connected wallet
Smart Over time Market rate, with TRX refunds for unused duration Initial match, then top-ups during the first third of the duration Large rentals (≥10M energy, ≥3 days)
ZapBuy Instant Sized to the TRX you send Immediately, or not at all Quick 1-hour top-ups via a plain TRX transfer
Auto-Buy Automatic Your chosen tier on every trigger Whenever the address drops below your threshold Never-run-out automation

A quick decision path

  • One transfer, right now? ZapBuy — send TRX from the wallet that needs the energy and you’re done in a block.
  • Buying for a different receiver, or a duration other than an hour? Normal order.
  • Cost matters more than timing? A pending order at your price, or a normal order on SLOW.
  • Sending USDT daily from the same wallet? Auto-Buy with a threshold.
  • Renting millions of energy for days? Smart Order, for the top-ups and refunds.
  • Doing any of this from code? Start with the Python walkthrough or the TronSave SDK for Node.js, Python, Rust, Java and PHP.

Price tiers apply across order types

Wherever you set a price you can give a number in SUN or use a tier, and the tiers are calculated against the live order book rather than being fixed markups. SLOW is the lowest price the order can be set at. MEDIUM, the default, is the lowest price that still gets the maximum market fill (SLOW + 10 if the market can’t fill at all). FAST equals MEDIUM when the market is 100% ready, MEDIUM + 10 below that, and SLOW + 20 at 0%.

So FAST is not automatically expensive — when supply is deep it costs exactly the same as MEDIUM. It only charges a premium when the book is thin, which is precisely when you’d want to pay it.

FAQ

What’s the cheapest order type?
A Pending order lets you wait for a lower price; for most people a Normal order at market rate is already far cheaper than burning TRX.

What if I just want energy instantly?
Use ZapBuy (send TRX, get a 1-hour rental) or a Normal order.

I send USDT daily — which is best?
Auto-Buy, so your wallet is always topped up automatically.

Can I cancel or change an order after placing it?
Yes, within limits. An unmatched order can be cancelled within 5 minutes of creation; a partially matched one only after an hour. The fee is 5 TRX. You can also edit the price, or the target address once the order is at least an hour old and not yet fully matched.

Why did my order only partially fill?
The market didn’t have enough supply at your price. With partial fill allowed you get what was available and pay only for that; with it disabled the order waits for a single provider who can cover the whole amount. Checking the order book before you set a price avoids most of these.

Pick your order and buy: head to the TronSave energy market to rent energy your way.
